New American Pathways Welcomes New Board Member

New American Pathways announces the election of a new member to its Board of Directors: Aisha Rahman, Director of Risk Assurance Services at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

“Ms. Rahman comes to us via the Taproot Pro Bono Seat Program,” says Chief Executive Officer Paedia Mixon. “Taproot is a nonprofit organization that makes business talent available to organizations working to improve society. We are grateful to Taproot for introducing us to this outstanding professional to engage in service and support our mission.”

Ms. Rahman has nearly 12 years’ experience of auditing and consulting experience helping clients manage their risk and systems of internal control, specializing in information technologies, enterprise application and business process controls, IT governance, security and regulatory compliance. She has served companies from large multinationals to US-based clients across industries.

Ms. Rahman achieved a BSBA in Management Information Systems from St. Louis University in 2002 before moving to the Atlanta area. She is passionate about causes that focus on children and welcoming new Americans. Ms. Rahman brings a unique view to New American Pathways as a first-generation American and working mother. She is serving for her first time on a non-profit board.

“I am really excited about New American Pathway’s mission,” says Ms. Rahman. “We have been in Georgia for 10 years now and my husband and I have spent a lot of time helping refugees get the tools they need to rebuild their lives. This is a cause that is very near and dear to our hearts.”
