Join Us at the Capitol

On behalf of the Coalition of Refugee Service Agencies (CRSA) we invite you to the third-annual New Americans Celebration – our day at the Georgia State Capitol and our second-annual U.S. Naturalization Ceremony on February 10, 2016! Registration is required, and can be completed here.

The New Americans Celebration is the annual day of education and outreach for refugees, immigrants and Georgia community members who support them. Every year we welcome over 200 volunteers to the Georgia State Capitol to learn about engaging with your Legislators and to reach out to tell them why you feel refugees should be welcome in Georgia.

This year’s event includes a pre-training at Central Presbyterian Church beginning at 7:45 a.m. We then move to the Capitol for outreach with our legislators, and finish the day with a Naturalization Ceremony at noon.

Before the event, share your story of refugee success on social media to promote not only the New Americans Celebration, but also your support for refugees in Georgia! Simply go on Twitter, Facebook or your favorite social and use our hashtags – #NAC16, #RefugeeSuccess or #GAWelcomes. We may share your story on our pages to let everyone know how important newcomers are to Georgia!
