Delivering Impact in 2025, Preparing for the Future

By Prabodh Devkota, Senior Director of Strategy and Programs

As we look back on 2025, one thing is clear: New American Pathways met a year of uncertainty with resilience, innovation, and deep community partnership. Together, we supported thousands of children, youth, individuals, and families across Georgia—addressing urgent needs while continuing to build pathways toward long-term stability and success.

All of this work is grounded in New AP’s Pathways Model, which centers on Safety and Stability, Self-Sufficiency, Success, and Service. In a year marked by policy shifts and growing need, this framework helped guide our response and sharpen our impact.

Advancing Self-Sufficiency and Stability

Across our resettlement and employment pathways, families made meaningful progress toward independence.

  • 89% of clients achieved self-sufficiency
  • 87% of employment clients remained employed one year after placement

Parents and caregivers also experienced strong outcomes.

  • 100% of Parents as Teachers participants increased their understanding of child development
  • 90% of parents in after-school programs met engagement goals

In Immigration Services, the results were equally strong.

  • 98% of citizenship applications were approved

Across navigation and referral services, every participant reported increased confidence in accessing essential systems and supports—an important foundation for long-term stability.

Responding to Urgent Community Needs

In 2025, listening closely to our community shaped how we responded. As needs evolved, so did our programs.

  • We launched new Senior Citizen initiatives
  • We supported 270 households with emergency food during periods of food insecurity and government shutdowns
  • We continued serving as a trusted information hub during a time of significant policy change

These efforts ensured families had access to timely support when it mattered most.

Innovation Ready to Scale

Several initiatives reached important milestones this year, positioning them for growth.

Our Savings Match for Afghan initiative generated over $1.3 million in asset value, strengthening financial capability and demonstrating a scalable model for the future.

Our Employer Engagement Program launched an online job-readiness platform focused on work-based ESL and tailored skills training. Nearly 36% of participants earned promotions or wage increases—showing how targeted workforce development can create real opportunity.

Strengthening Our Foundation

Alongside program growth, we focused on sustainability. In 2025, New AP diversified our funding portfolio, strengthened donor relationships, and invested in technology, data, and inventory systems to improve efficiency and accountability.

These investments ensure we can respond quickly, responsibly, and at scale.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Guided by our Strategic Plan, New American Pathways enters 2026 focused on three priorities:

  1. Maintain our impact
  2. Deepen financial and operational sustainability
  3. Expand community leadership and advocacy

While our FY26 outlook is stable, flexibility remains essential. With potential changes to SNAP, Medicaid, and other safety-net programs, we anticipate increased food insecurity. In response, we are prioritizing Food Security, combining emergency assistance with long-term solutions while continuing to strengthen our core programs:

  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Economic Inclusion and Workforce Development
  • Education and Youth
  • Advocacy Leadership, Immigration, and Voter Engagement
  • AmeriCorps

Moving Forward, Together

At the center of everything we do are our clients—individuals, families, and children working to rebuild their lives. And alongside them are the partners, donors, board members, volunteers, and staff who make this work possible.

They are the true changemakers.

Together, we move forward with determination and purpose—ready to meet the future while continuing to support our communities every step of the way.
