Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

This addendum supplements the New American Pathways Privacy Policy and applies specifically to information collected through our SMS/text messaging program.

Information We Collect

When you opt in to our text messaging program, we collect your mobile phone number and your consent to receive text messages. We may also collect your name and program enrollment details if provided at the time of opt-in.

How We Use Your Information

We use your mobile phone number and opt-in consent solely to send you text messages related to New American Pathways programs and services, including service updates, event announcements, appointment reminders, and community alerts.

 No Sharing of Opt-In Data

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

Data Retention

We retain your mobile number and opt-in consent for as long as you remain subscribed to our text messaging program. If you opt out by texting STOP, we will remove your number from our active messaging list. We may retain records of your opt-out request for compliance purposes.

Your Rights

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. You may also contact us at 404-299-6099 or info@newamericanpathways.org to request removal of your information from our text messaging program.
