New American Pathways is a nonprofit 501c3 organization whose mission is to help refugees and Georgia thrive. Our vision is for new Americans in Metro Atlanta to become successful, contributing, and welcomed members of Georgia’s communities. We believe that civic participation is key to a new American’s integration and a core indicator of a healthy democracy. By registering and mobilizing new voters, investing in emerging immigrant leaders, and connecting new Georgians to civic education, we help new Americans to elevate their voices, bolster representation, and build power.

New American Pathways’ Civic Engagement Department is currently seeking a Voter Engagement Coordinator to design and carry out program activities aimed at increasing rates of voter registration and electoral participation among foreign-born Georgians and their surrounding communities. The Voter Engagement Coordinator will report directly to the Civic Engagement Manager and oversee a dynamic team of local field organizers. Together this team will register new voters, mobilize them to vote in upcoming elections, and provide meaningful educational experiences and opportunities for engagement. The goal of this work is to foster a culture of voting and civic participation among the communities of voters that we serve.

Responsibilities
  • Co-lead New Americans Voter Registration project at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) naturalization ceremonies alongside coalition partners
  • Oversee training and management of voter engagement volunteers while actively engaging in identification of new volunteers and community partners
  • Represent New American Pathways at coalition and workgroup meetings and work collaboratively alongside external partners to successfully achieve project goals
  • Manage a diverse team of community field organizers to carry out voter engagement campaign activities in registration, mobilization, and education
  • Collect, analyze, and report data on program activities and outcomes
  • Create graphics, presentations, and other educational resources for diverse stakeholder audience of volunteers, organizational partners, and immigrant communities
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated history of working in voter registration and/or GOTV efforts in Georgia highly preferred; another grassroots community organizing experience is a plus
  • Punctual and time-oriented; efficient in meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build and maintain strategic relationships
  • Demonstrated history of setting and meeting goals
  • Familiarity with VAN, Blocks, Hustle and other voter registration and GOTV software preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to successfully work with a team from a variety of cultural, ethnic, religious, and educational backgrounds.
  • Commitment to the mission of New American Pathways and goals of the Civic Engagement department
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours and weekends
  • Ability to travel across Metro Atlanta with your own vehicle – mileage will be reimbursed
  • Fluency in another language is a plus
Job Benefits

This is a full-time, salaried position with an annual salary range of $ 40,000-$ 43,000 Employer contributes to medical, dental and vision insurance.  Employer pays life and disability insurance.  Fourteen (14) paid holidays and a generous paid time off policy.  Employee has the option to contribute to 401(k).
