Dilip Dahal: From the Bottom of our Heart

Staff members Sarah McCormick (left) and Safia Jama (right) put Dilip in the center of their heart to symbolize their thanks for his support of our work in ongoing case management.

Some of our staff visited with Dilip Dahal, the first Bhutanese refugee resettled here by New American Pathways (then RRISA). Once he settled into his new environment, Dilip started helping many other refugees find their way after arriving in Atlanta – sharing his experiences and helping with interpretation.

As he helped one family resettle here in Atlanta, he met his future wife! They are married and have two children. He is now a successful business owner with a chain of gas stations in Atlanta.

Dilip was amongst the first new American citizens we honored at our inaugural Red, White and NEW gala in 2013. We congratulate him for his success and thank him for his continued support of our mission to help refugees and Georgia thrive!
